Tasiast South Gold Project, Mauritania

Archaean’s flagship discovery and a potential foundation for future gold production

The Tasiast South Project is Archaean Gold’s flagship development, covering approximately 100km² within the Tasiast Greenstone Belt of northern Mauritania. It is directly along strike from Kinross Gold’s world-class Tasiast Mine (20Moz Au), one of Africa’s largest gold operations.

The project is located 7km south of Tasiast’s southern extensions (Tamaya and Sadraya) and captures more than 25km of prospective strike length within a highly favourable structural corridor.

Early exploration has confirmed a new gold discovery at the Falcon Zone. Our drill hole RC06 intercepted a thick zone of high-grade gold mineralisation within siliceous shear zones. The Falcon Zone extends for more than 16km.

Ongoing drilling, auger sampling, and gravity surveys continue to refine the Falcon Shear Zone, with follow-up RC and air magnetic programs scheduled for 2026.

At the nearby Petrel Zone,  northeast of the Falcon Zone, drillhole RC070 intersected 46m of strongly sheared, altered and bleached zone with quartz and pyrite

Tasiast South is emerging as a significant discovery within the West African Gold Province and the cornerstone of Archaean Gold’s growth strategy.
